“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” – Acts 1:8
The outreach and missionary ministry of Hillcrest Baptist Church seeks to minister to those outside the church, beginning with our Jerusalem (Hillcrest), to Judea (KZN), to Samaria (South Africa), and finally to the ends of the earth (the world), in an attempt to fulfil the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20).
Below are the current outreach ministries of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Please contact either the Church Office or Barbara Brown should you want more information or want to help financially
“Missions exists because worship doesn’t. Worship is ultimate, not missions, because God is ultimate, not man. When this age is over, and the countless millions of the redeemed fall on their faces before the throne of God, missions will be no more.”
This series navigates culturally relevant topics from a Biblical Perspective. Bring your friends and family to the next meeting where Pastor Clint Archer will be addressing the topic, “Why Bad Things Happen to Good People”. Gourmet burgers and drinks will be served.
Once a month we hold church services at the Hillcrest Hospital. Volunteers are needed for transporting patients to the chapel and looking after any of their general needs during the service. Contact the church for more information.
Once a quarter HBC hosts either a tea or luncheon for the elderly. Our dear brothers and sisters enjoy some entertainment, refreshments, food, and a short gospel message. Please contact the church office should you want more information about attending or helping to serve.
