BACK GROUND INFORMATION

After both completing their studies at the Bible Institute, Kalk Bay, Brian & Lorraine joined Africa Evangelical Fellowship in 1974.  They ministered for 11 years in the Christian Ministry to Miners. Then they had a short time in Child Evangelism Fellowship and went on to minister in Scripture Union for 13 years. After that they returned to AEF at the time that it merged with SIM. They served in the SIM (Serving in Mission) sending office for 6 years and then God called them to start a media ministry, with SIM Ethnic Focus, producing DVD media for outreach and teaching purposes. They have produced media for adults, adolescents and older children up to now. Their next project which they are developing is outreach and teaching for young children. They plan to use puppets telling the Gospel lessons. They will be filming an accomplished puppeteer and children’s worker.

Brian and Lorraine’s daughter Charmaine, went to be with her Lord and Saviour in April,  after long battle with cancer.

LATEST NEWS:

 We have received much encouragement in our ministry. We have been busy distributing our latest DVD which shares basic Bible truths for 4 year olds and up. We like to call it tot’s theology. We have dealt with subjects like: Creation, Our Sinful Nature, the Importance of Bible Reading, How to Pray to God and the Right Way to Get to Heaven. We have used moving mouth puppets, of various colours, so that it is suitable for all racial groups. We have received very good reports from both adults and children as to its acceptance and clarity.

We have also been re-editing the series we did, when we were living at Christian Outreach Media, so that the DVDs can be viewed as 6 minute lessons or the whole movie at once, if desired. We feel that this makes them more suitable for use in Sunday School classes or Children’s Church. We have also followed this pattern for all our latest DVDs.

Now we are planning the lessons for the next DVD – which will be some more tot’s theology. We are fortunate that the elder at Goodwood Baptist, who is in charge of their tot’s theology, is wanting to work with us as we plan our next lessons.
